Comparative analysis of rock breaking performance based on pre-selected cutters of small-diameter blind shaft boring machine in high-level radioactive waste disposal pit
Blind shaft boring machine is a common equipment for disposal pit excavation.Reasonable design and arrangement of roller cutter is the key to its efficient tunneling.The TBM and Shield Research Group of Beijing University of Technology preselected 11-inch double-row conical-shaped tooth roller cutter and double-row saddle-shaped tooth roller cutter for the small-diameter blind shaft boring machine in Beishan high-level radioactive waste disposal pit.In this study,two kinds of pre-selected cutters were used to carry out linear cutting rock breaking test on Beishan granite samples.The cutter force,rock breaking specific energy,rock chip distribution,vibration characteristics and rock damage characteristics of the two cutters were compared and analyzed.The test results show that the normal force and vibration strength of the rock breaking of the conical-shaped tooth roller cutter at the same penetration depth are smaller than those of the saddle-shaped tooth roller cutter,and the rock breaking efficiency of the conical-shaped tooth roller cutter is higher,and the development of the penetrating crack generated under the action of the conical-shaped tooth roller cutter is more significant.Comprehensive comparative analysis shows that the rock breaking performance of conical-shaped tooth roller cutter is better.It is recommended to use the pre-selected double-row conical-shaped tooth roller cutter to arrange the cutterhead of the small-diameter blind shaft boring machine in Beishan disposal pit.This study can also provide reference for the design of cutterhead and propulsion system of blind shaft boring machine and the optimization of construction and operation parameters.
