Study on the characteristics of rock elastic parameters in the ore bearing strata of Hailijin uranium deposit in Songliao basin
Currently, seismic exploration technology is mainly used to identify ore-forming conditions such as stratigraphic distribution, structure, and sand body of sandstone type uranium deposits, less attention paid to the direct discrimination of mineralized or sterile rocks. The study on elastic parameters differences between ore hosting sand bodies and wall rocks is the basis for seismic technology to identify the ore hosting sand bodies.this paper focused on the ore hosting layer of the Hailijin uranium deposit in the Songliao basin, collected core samples from three borehole, fabricated the samples in the laboratory using the"wire cutting+full process sample protection"method, measured the elastic parameters such as P wave velocity,S wave velocity, and density with the method of"product measurement+ultrasonic pulse transmission",and calculated the P wave impedance and P wave impedance. The results indicated that within the depth range of the ore bearing layer, the difference in rock elastic parameters was mainly determined by the rock properties, the influence of depth changes can be ignored. There were differences in elastic parameters such as velocity, density, and wave impedance among different rock types, especially the density and velocity parameters of sandstone in ore hosting layer, which differed from those of wall rocks.Sandstone in ore hosting layer can be identified based on the differences of density and P wave velocity, which provides a theoretic basis for seismic identification technical solutions between wall rocks and ore hosting sand bodies.
