Mikrorajón(microdistrict),originally a concept from the Soviet Union,not only serves as a model for residential districts but also holds significant socio-spatial implications.After the establishment of the People's Republic of China,this concept was introduced and quickly gained prominence as a major model for residential development.Consequently,it exerted a profound influence on the urban landscape and everyday life in contemporary Chinese cities.The study on the origin and adoption of Mikrorajón can explain the development process of residential districts in China and present their characteristics.This paper uses the Luoyang Jianxi Industrial Area as an example to analyse the influence of Mikrorajón on urban form and social-spatial aspects.
