Performance-Oriented Extraction of Residential Forms in Lhasa
With the intensification of urbanisation in Lhasa, the construction of local residents lacks theoretical guidance, and the new residential forms cannot cope with the climate, the energy consumption during use increases, and the indoor comfort becomes worse. This paper uses performance as a perspective to frame a clear connection between climate and architectural form. The performance requirements and formal response mechanism of residential buildings under the specific climate requirements of Lhasa were analysed.Based on the residential data of field research, the formal factors of the space and interface of the dwellings were identified, the formal prototypes of dwellings with different performance were extracted to obtain the form map,and the prototype map was quantified according to the construction experience value of traditional Lhasa dwellings. It aims to provide a model of low-energy,high-comfort residential form for Lhasa's residential construction,to improve the living environment and indoor thermal comfort of the people of Lhasa, reduce energy consumption, and achieve a better life.
