Based on the theory of infrastructuring in urban regeneration,this study explores the development context and practical path of the Magic Carpet project in Sai Ying Pun,Hong Kong SAR,to promote the construction of social networks through technical platforms.This paper elaborates on the practical application of the infrastructuring model in urban renewal,focuses on how participatory video technology promotes the socio-spatial mechanism of community transformation,and also focuses on how the technical platform based on photovoice can build a positive social network to connect the government,NGOs,residents and other actors.It is found that the construction of photovoice technology platform not only provides technical support for urban regeneration,but also promotes the sharing of community information and the optimal allocation of public resources.The construction of social network helps to strengthen the connection among community members and form common values and development goals,so as to promote the people-oriented urban regeneration process.
