The Research on Informal Learning Spaces on University Campuses Driven by Autonomous Learning Modes:A Case Study of Tianjin University
The current development of higher education in China increasingly emphasises innovation of learning reform, making self-directed learning the predominant mode of study among students. This shift has created new demands for informal learning spaces on campuses. This paper investigates the characteristics of students'self-directed learning behaviours and their spatial needs, categorising informal learning spaces into four types based on learning patterns and spatial features. It further analyses the actual usage and influencing factors of these four types of spaces, proposing targeted design strategies for informal learning spaces.
