Lhasa has abundant solar energy resources,but due to its high altitude and extremely cold winter,illumination and indoor thermal comfort are the key indicators affecting the indoor environmental quality of Lhasa residences,and the size of external window shading components has a significant impact on both of them.At present,there are few studies on the shading components of traditional Tibetan houses,and there is a lack of quantitative analysis.Taking illuminance and indoor thermal comfort as the comprehensive optimisation objectives,this paper uses genetic algorithm to calculate the size of the shading components in the typical space of traditional houses in Lhasa,and summarises the suitable size range of shading components for Lhasa dwellings,so as to provide a scientific basis for the improvement of the light and heat environment of Lhasa dwellings.
