The design of signage systems directly influences passengers'spatial experience during wayfinding in metro stations.Taking the People's Square Station as an example,this study employs ergonomic analysis to explore the impact of signage location on wayfinding efficiency.By analysing the spatial choices made when identifying signs and biases in signage interpretation,this study finds that positioning signs within the optimal range from the decision points can significantly enhance wayfinding efficiency at the People's Square Metro Station.This study attempts to provide insights for the design and layout of signage systems in urban rail transit hubs.
