The project"Structural Stability Assessment and Protection of Yingxian Wooden Pagoda"supported by the National Key Research and Development Programme(NKRDP),emphasises"the study of the construction history,form and material use of Yingxian Wooden Pagoda,as well as the relationship between the deterioration characteristics of the components and the cumulative effect of damage",while clarifying the content of the regular research.The research team of Tsinghua University School of Architecture believes that this issue is the basic"preliminary issue"of the structural stability assessment of the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda,and extends their thinking in this regard,proposing three aspects of this"preliminary issue"as well as the corresponding technical route to answer the question.
