Elderly people in nursing institutions are more likely to have negative emotions than those in home care institutions. As a frequently used traffic space, the monotonous form of the inner corridor space tends to cause anxiety and depression in the elderly.Based on psychological principles, combined with literature and field research, this study selected 5 spatial form variables of inner corridors, constructed 6 experimental scenes, and used virtual reality technology to obtain emotion measurement data.Through statistical analysis, the spatial forms with good emotional orientation are selected, and then the optimisation strategy for corridor spatial form design in nursing institutions is proposed, aiming at improving the spatial experience of the elderly.
