Protected Area Management in Ethiopia and Its Implications
Effective management of protected nature areas is of great significance for enhancing biodiversity conservation,maintaining the balanced ecosystems and guaranteeing sustainable human development.The paper takes Ethiopia's protected area as a case to review its management system from the three aspects of management policy,management system,and relevant institutions based on the overview of its construction of protected area network,and analyze the current situation of its protected area management around the challenges and potential opportunities.At the end,the inspirations for China are summarized from the three aspects of actively exploring new governance mechanism for protected area,establishing and improving franchise system,and emphasizing the community co-management practices.
