Russia is one of the the major food producer and exporter in the world.China is the main supplier of pesticide technical materials for Russian market,taking a share of 80%of pesticide technical materials imported by Russia.In Russia,more than 30%of its crop protection products relies on imports and the imports of pesticides from China have increased year by year since the COVID-19 pandemic.This paper analyzes and forecasts the Russian pesticide market and policies.From 2010 to 2022,Russia's pesticide production capacity increased by 2.5 times,and pesticide production increased by 5 times.The implementation of the formulated product import quota policy has protected Russian local pesticide companies and supplemented the shortage of products in the Russian domestic market,but has made it more difficult for foreign companies to export to the Russian market.This paper also elaborates on Russian pesticide registration policy,including data requirements for registration,registration steps,registration fees,etc.,and analyzes the key points of review by the Ministry of Agriculture and other agencies.
