Sintering character test and industrial application of ludwigite powder
In order to expand the range of available iron ore resources, the sintering character of an iron ore resource containing boron and magnesium(Dandong ludwigite powder)are experimentally studied, and related industrial application tests are carried out.The results show that the assimilation performance of ludwigite powder is close to that of Yangdi powder, and the liquid phase fluidity is close to that of PB powder.Under the raw materials of existing sintering and process condition, ludwigite powder and other proportions replace local magnetic powder, which is conducive to improving the yield of sinter, reducing solid fuel consumption, and improving the low-temperature reduction and pulverization performance of sinter. The ratio of iron powder is less than 10%,which is beneficial to improve the utilization coefficient of sintering machine and the drum strength of sinter, and higher than 10%,which has a negative impact on the above two indicators. The results of industrial application test show that, after the addition of 3%ludwigite powder, the total iron grade of the sinter decreases slightly, and the B2O3 mass fraction in the sinter increases to 0.56%,the particle size composition of the sinter is optimized, the proportion of(5,10]mm and ≤5 mm decreases by 0.79%and 1.29%,respectively,and the proportion of>40 mm increases by 3.01%,and the utilization coefficient of the sintering machine increases from 1.60 t/(m2·h)to 1.62 t/(m2·h).The drum strength of the sinter increases by 2.22%,and the low-temperature reduction pulverization index(>3.15 mm)increases from 58.80%to 60.29%,and the sinter yield and quality indexes are significantly improved.
