Factors influencing cold consolidation molding test of phosphate rock powder pellets and their mechanical properties
In view of the problem that phosphate rock powder can't be directly smelted in the furnace, the cold consolidation molding method is used to prepare phosphate rock powder pellets, and the effects of binder dosage, water addition, molding pressure and sintering temperature on the falling strength and compressive strength of phosphate rock powder pellets are researched. The results show that the compressive strength and falling strength of pellets increase with the increase of binder dosage, first increase and then decrease with the increase of molding pressure, first increase and then decrease with the increase of moisture mass fraction, while the compressive strength increases with the increase of sintering temperature.Under the conditions of binder dosage of 0.4%,moisture mass fraction of 8%and molding pressure of 11 MPa,the compressive strength of green pellets of phosphate rock powder can reach 148.46 N/P,and the falling strength can reach 46 times/(0.5 m).After sintering at 1 200 ℃ for 2 h,the compressive strength of phosphate pellets can reach 966 N/P,and there is no pulverization after falling and crushing. This paper aims to make up for the shortage of phosphate-rich lump ore resources and provide reference for further promoting the application of phosphate powder ore in phosphors production.
