Research progress on desulfurization and denitrification of sintering gas by utilizing microwave to irradiate activated carbon
Desulfurization and denitrification technology utilizing microwave to irradiate activated carbon can efficiently remove SO2 and NOx from sintering gas.The removal rate of SO2 and NOx can reach more than 95%in the experimental stage,and it has the ideal effect of small footprint,less process flow,energy saving and environmental protection,and has great development potential in industrial gas treatment.Based on the propagation and heating characteristics of microwave in the sintering gas and the good adsorption of activated carbon,the two synergistically promote the catalytic reduction reaction to form a set of efficient sintering gas treatment process.Desulfurization and denitrification technology utilizing microwave to irradiate activated carbon is compared with the traditional sintering gas treatment technology,the advantages of this process and existing research results at home and abroad are summarized,the technical details and reaction mechanism of this process are deeply studied,the current shortcomings of this process in energy consumption,by-product treatment,pollution coordination treatment and R&D costs are found out,the drawbacks and restrictive factors of this process in practical applications are deeply analyzed,its future development direction is prospected,and the way for the next step of research is shown clearly.
