An Analysis of Contemporary Virtual Economy from the Perspective of Lenin's Critique of Financial Capital
Lenin's critical theory of financial capital deeply grasps the new changes at the stage of monopoly capitalism, reveals the internal mechanism of the formation of financial capital and expounds the inherent contradictions and main features of the monopoly of financial capital, thus serving as a"scalpel"for dissecting the finance-dominated virtual economy. In the 21st century, the virtual economy of capitalist countries has experienced a series of new changes, such as its deep integration with digital technology and further deviation from real economy. However, these new changes do not fall beyond the scope of Lenin's critique of financial capital.Under the socialist market economy, development of the virtual economy to a proper extent in China is conducive to activating the real economy, building a modem economic system and promoting high-quality economic development. At present, while China is facing many challenges in the development of virtual economy,Lenin's critique in this respect provides both theoretical wisdom and strategic guidance for China to address these challenges.
