The Historical Evolution and Contemporary Resonance of the CPC's Civilization Discourse
"Civilization"is a clear concept and practical symbol that is very overarching and generic in nature in the discourse system of the Communist Party of China.Based on the transformed meaning of"civilization"in modern China and the historical aspiration of early Marxists to"advance civilization for the world",the CPC's discourse on civilization has experienced steady progress,condensation and principle-based innovation in the move from the abstract discourse of"the third new civilization"to the concrete discourse of"modern civilization of the Chinese nation".A comprehensively review of the Party's discourse on civilization in different historical contexts in the long term of history,and an understanding of its logic of construction characteristic of the unity between logic and history,mutual promotion between theory and practice,and internal connection between problem and approach will provide reference for the innovation in and development of the Party's discourse on civilization in the new era.
