Building a New Type of Urban-Rural Relationship Oriented towards Coordinated Development and Common Prosperity
Since China entered a new era,the problem it has faced in building a new type of urban-rural relationship is the lagging development of agriculture and rural areas as compared with the faster development of industrial cities.Such new relationship is meant to enable millions of farmers to move towards modernization in all respects by comprehensively promoting rural revitalization,building a strong country in agriculture and harmonious and beautiful rural areas suitable to live and work in.To fulfill the essential requirements of the Chinese path to modernization,the Communist Party of China has strived to enable the vast number of farmers to participate equally in the modernization process,share its fruits,and thus march towards modernization in all respects.In the process of exploring and advancing common prosperity of all people under the national conditions of a large rural population,the CPC's proposal of building a new urban-rural relationship oriented towards coordinated development and common prosperity constitutes an original contribution to the Marxist theory of urban-rural relationship.
