The Nature and Harm of the US Right-Wing Populist Movement and Its Solutions
In recent years, the rise of right-wing populism in the United States has triggered serious social crises.Although it has manifested itself mainly in cultural conflict and identity confrontation between the mainstream white and ethnic minorities,it is essentially an economic and class struggle carried out by lower-and middle-class white people who have been deeply harmed by capitalism and as a result of inherent contradictions of capitalism. However, practical consequences as the right-wing populist movement show that it has not only failed to truly realize the interests of the lower-and middle-class white people, but also objectively strengthened and consolidated the ruling power of financial capital.Only by returning to the theoretical path of Marxism with the fundamental goal of abolishing the capitalist system can social movements be guided towards correct direction for new social changes.
