The Influence and Harm of Western Cultural Export on Soviet Cultural Identity
The cultural export of the West is characteristic of clear political objectives. From the end of World War Ⅱ to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the West's cultural export towards the Soviet Union revolved around two core themes:"Communism deviates from the mainstream of human civilization"and"Capitalism is the ultimate form for the development of human society".This gradually established a comprehensive system of cultural export with multiple dimensions.Based on the content, methods and impact of such export to the Soviet Union,we can divide it into four stages:the onset of the Cold War and the formation of Western cultural export strategies;the impact of Western culture on Soviet cultural identity;the distancing of the Soviet populace from mainstream values;the disintegration of Soviet cultural identity as a result of the cultural export of the West.Today, drawing lessons from the disintegration of Soviet cultural identity,we need to decode the ideological logic behind this export, adopt a problem-oriented approach to enhance the interpretative power of Marxist theory, and uphold the position of Chinese culture to strengthen the appeal of our ideological discourse.Additionally,we should fully leverage modern information technology to enhance the guiding power of mainstream ideology.
