The Resurgence of Western Racism:Origins and Development Trends
Since the end of World War Ⅱ,racism has been widely resisted in the West.However,the root cause of racial problems—capitalist private ownership—still persists Since the beginning of the 21st century,the living conditions of minority groups,particularly those of Black people,have not fundamentally improved;racial and immigration conflicts have been exacerbated by the spread of socioeconomic crises.In contemporary Western society,white supremacy has resurfaced;iterations of"new racism"have emerged;far-right parties and organizations have widely risen.The prospects for anti-racist movements in the so-called"post-ideological"era are bleak.Under the current neoliberal system,the long-term trend of the resurgence of racism in the West is difficult to change.
