Under digital economy,precarious forms of employment including the gig economy,have rapidly expanded,which is particularly evident in delivery platforms that primarily rely on outsourcing As frontline workers in the platform economy,delivery workers face increased working hours and labor intensity,low job stability,insufficient labor protections,and generally low income that are still demonstrating a declining trend.The root causes of these issues lie first in the competitive pressures faced by delivery workers,leading to the phenomenon of vicious competition.Encouraging intense competition among delivery workers is a strategic choice of the platform digital capital to shift its own pressures in competition.By integrating algorithms into their management processes,delivery platforms have gained decision-making control over the labor process of delivery workers.While advancements in digital technology are an objective result of the development of social productivity,there is a potential risk of undermining the relative strength and status of workers when advanced productive forces are controlled by capital.Therefore,the development of the digital economy within a socialist market economy must balance efficiency and equity,ensuring the long-term benefits of social development while advancing innovative production methods.
