Objective:To exploring the effects of implementing group positive psychotherapy on depression and sleep quality a-mong junior high school students.Methods:A total of 600 junior high school students admitted to Shenyang Mental Health Service Center from June 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the different intervention methods received,with 300 cases in each group.The observation group re-ceived group positive psychotherapy,while the control group did not receive any intervention.Results:The pre-test results showed that there was no significant difference in the average score of depression and different dimensions of sleep indicators,as well as the total score between the two groups before intervention(Ps>0.05).After 6 months of intervention,the post test results of inter group comparison showed that the average score of depression and different dimensions of sleep indicators,as well as the total score,were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group at the same time point(Ps<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing group positive psychotherapy for middle school students can significantly improve their level of depression and en-hance their sleep quality.
