Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention on the complications and sleep quality of maintenance hemodi-alysis uremia patients after nursing measures to protective motivation theory. Methods:A total of 130 patients with uremia who re-ceived maintenance hemodialysis from January 2020 to May 2023 were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups, with 65 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, the observation group was given nursing intervention based on protective motivation theory. The complications, quality of life, changes in renal function, sleep quality and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results:The quality of life and satisfaction rate of nursing in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the score of sleep quality was lower than that in control group(Ps<0.05).The levels of urea nitrogen and creatinine and complications in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(Ps<0.05).Conclusion:Providing protective motivation theory nursing intervention measures for maintenance hemodialysis uremia patients can effectively reduce the complications of patients, improve the quality of life of patients, improve patients'kidney function, and promote effec-tive sleep of patients.
