Objective:To analyze the impact of AIDET communication nursing model on the sleep quality of patients undergoing minimally invasive appendectomy.Methods:A total of 100 patients who underwent minimally invasive surgery at the Seventh Peo-ple's Hospital of Ji'nan City in Shandong Province from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method,with 50 patients in each group.The control group received routine nursing intervention,while the observation group received AIDET communication nursing intervention.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the differences in sleep quality between two groups of patients.The Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)were used to compare the improve-ment effects of anxiety and depression status before and after intervention,and the surgical recovery of the two groups of patients was compared.Results:After intervention,the HAMA score,HAMD score,and PSQI score of the observation group were signifi-cantly lower than those of the control group.The postoperative rehabilitation indicators of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group in terms of exhaust time,defecation time,bed activity time,bowel sound recovery time,and hospital stay.The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(Ps＜0.05).Conclusion:The use of AIDET communication nursing model for minimally invasive treatment of patients undergoing appendectomy can improve their sleep quali-ty,alleviate their anxiety and depression,accelerate the recovery process,and is worthy of promotion and application.
