Analysis of the Impact of Developmental Supportive Nursing Intervention Combined with Standardized Micro Feeding on the Sleep Quality and Development of Newborns
Objective:To analyze the impact of developmental supportive nursing intervention combined with standardized micro feeding on the sleep quality and development of newborns. Methods:A total of 80 newborns admitted to Shishi General Hospital in Fujian Province from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Using a random number table method, they were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received developmental supportive nursing combined with standardized micro feeding support intervention. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the differences in sleep quality be-tween two groups of newborns. The two groups also compared the growth and development status, duration of feeding intolerance, time to complete enteral feeding, time to correct gestational age and weight, and time to indwelling nasogastric tubes. Results:After intervention, the PSQI score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The duration of feeding intolerance, time to complete enteral feeding, time to correct gestational age and weight, and time to indwelling nasogastric tubes in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group. The developmental levels of weight, head circumference, height, and upper arm circumference in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences be-tween the two groups were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of developmental supportive care and standardized micro feeding effectively addresses neonatal feeding intolerance and improves sleep quality. This method can sig-nificantly enhance newborns'feeding and sleep adaptation abilities and their developmental level by optimizing feeding strategies and sleep environments and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
