Objective:To analyze the therapeutic effect of adenoidectomy on children with secretory otitis media accompanied by obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and its effect on improving sleep quality.Methods:A total of 80 children with secretory otitis media and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Binzhou City from January 2022 to Janu-ary 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Using a random number table method,they were randomly divided into control and observation groups,with 40 cases in each group.The control group received conservative treatment,while the observation group re-ceived adenoidectomy surgery.Using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)to compare the differences in sleep quality be-tween two groups of patients and the Comprehensive Quality of Life Assessment Scale(GQOL-74)to compare the changes in qual-ity of life between the two groups of children before and after intervention.Results:After treatment,the PSQI score of the observa-tion group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the GQOL-74 score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Adenoidectomy has a good effect in the treatment of pediatric secretory otitis media,which can significantly improve the sleep quality of children and enhance their quality of life.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
