Objective:To investigate the effects of epistol administration on pain and sleep in patients with esophagoscope-guided variceal ligation. Methods:A total of 60 patients with esophageal varices ligation under gastroscopy(2023.3 to 2024.3)were se-lected and divided into an observation group and a control group by random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given the intervention mode combining knowledge and practice.Pain score(VAS),sleep quality score(PSQI),negative emotion score(SAS,SDS),rehabilitation index, complication rate and nursing satisfaction were used as control study. Results:The VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 6,24,48,and 72 h after the operation(P<0.05).The PSQI score of the two groups was lower than that of the control group before and after care(P>0.05),and the PSQI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of SAS and SDS before and after care were lower than those of the control group, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the recovery index, the exhaust time and hospitalization time in the obser-vation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the hospitalization cost was significantly lower than that in the control group,P<0.05;The complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The ligation of esophageal varices guided by gastroscopy with knowledge, belief and action can relieve pain, improve sleep, reduce patients'nega-tive emotions, accelerate recovery, reduce complications, and win patients'high nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
