Objective:To explore the role of Roy Newman's concept of operating room nursing in improving the sleep quality of patients with breast cancer under anesthesia.Methods:From February 2022 to December 2023,88 cases of breast cancer patients in our hospital were selected and randomly sorted according to Excel table No.0～88.Routine nursing(control group)was carried out during the operation of odd sequence,and the operating room nursing(observation group)of Roy Newman's concept was car-ried out for even sequence.Compare patients'sleep quality,coping behavior,and psychological resilience during surgery.Results:The sleep quality of the patients was evaluated,and there was no difference in the scores of various dimensions of the PSQI scale before nursing.The scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after nursing(P＜0.05).Assessing patient coping behavior,there was no difference in MC-MQ scale scores before nursing.After nursing,the observation group had higher scores in the face dimension than the control group and higher scores in the avoidance and surrender dimensions than the control group(P＜0.05).The CD-RISC scale scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group in terms of patient psychological resilience(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The Roy Newman concept of operating room nursing can improve the sleep quality of patients during surgery,improve their psychological state and coping behavior,and ensure the nursing effect when nursing breast cancer patients under anesthesia.
