Objective:To analyze the effects of continuous intravenous infusion of Dezosin on early postoperative analgesia and sleep quality in elderly patients undergoing hip surgery in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods:A total of 80 elderly hip sur-gery patients admitted to the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Penglai People's Hospital in Yantai City from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 40 cases in each group,using a random number table method.The control group received intravenous injection of flurbiprofen axetil for analgesic treatment,while the observation group received intravenous injection of flurbiprofen axetil combined with con-tinuous intravenous pumping of dexamethasone for analgesic treatment.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the differences in sleep quality between two groups of patients.The Visual Analog Scale(VAS)was used to compare the differences in pain perception between the two groups before and after intervention.The incidence of postoperative delirium and the proportion of patients with reduced sleep on the day of surgery were also compared between the two groups.Results:After in-tervention,the PSQI score and VAS score of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group.The in-cidence of postoperative delirium in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group.The total propor-tion of patients with reduced sleep for 2 and 3 hours on the day of surgery was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Continuous intravenous infusion of Dezosin has a significant effect in reducing the risk of postoperative delirium in elderly ICU patients undergoing hip surgery and assisting them in achieving ideal early analgesic effects and sleep quality.It can effectively alleviate patient pain and improve sleep quality,and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
