Objective:To analyze the clinical efficacy of nebulized budesonide inhalation in the treatment of chronic cough in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection and its impact on sleep quality. Methods:A total of 90 children with chronic cough caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection admitted to the Pediatric Department of Quangang District Hospital from Janu-ary 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the observation subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups according to the random number table method:the observation group(45 cases)received nebulized budesonide inhalation plus conventional treat-ment,and the control group(45 cases)received conventional treatment. The clinical efficacy, sleep duration, time from closing eyes to falling asleep,AIS and PSQI scores were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in sleep duration, time from closing eyes to falling asleep,AIS score, and PSQI score between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the observation group showed more significant improvement in the above indicators compared to the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:nebulized inhalation of budesonide can improve disease treatment effectiveness, improve sleep quality, and prolong sleep time and shorten sleep time compared to conventional treatment measures. The effect is significant and worthy of promotion and application.
