Objective:To explore the impact of volume management combined with evidence-based nutritional care using the Inte-grated Theory of Health Behavior Change(ITHBC)in the care of heart failure patients on their sleep quality,nutritional status,and cardiac function levels.Methods:A total of 88 patients with heart failure in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from March 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the subjects.They were divided into control group and observation group ac-cording to random number table method,44 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,the observation group received ITHBC theory of volume management combined with evidence-based nutrition nursing Compare the improvement in sleep quality and cardiac function levels between two groups of patients.Results:Comparing the sleep quality between the two groups,there was no difference in the PSQI scale score before nursing,while the observation group had lower scores in all dimensions com-pared to the control group after nursing.the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Regarding the statistics and compari-son of the duration of sleep and the number of awakenings in two groups at night,the observation group had longer duration of sleep than the control group,and fewer awakenings than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The left ventricular ejection fraction,cardiac index,and stroke volume of patients before and after nursing care were statistically analyzed.Both groups of patients showed improvement after nursing care,while the observation group showed significant improvement(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing capacity management based on the ITHBC theory combined with evidence-based nutritional care in the care of heart failure patients can improve their sleep quality during recovery and improve their cardiac function.
