Objective:To analyze the effect of implementing the"3S2E"nursing management model in the care of ICU severe pneumonia patients.Methods:A total of 60 severe pneumonia patients who received treatment in the ICU of Shandong University Qilu Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study sample.These 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups,with 30 patients in the control group receiving routine care and 30 patients in the observation group receiving"3S2E"nursing management mode.The respiratory function,adverse emotions,sleep quality,incidence of complications,and clin-ical indicators of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results:The respiratory function of the two groups of patients was compared,and the observation group had lower respiratory rate,oxygenation index,and ventilation volume per minute,the differ-ence was statistically significant(P＜0.05);Compared with the two groups of patients,the SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were lower,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05);the sleep quality of the two groups of patients was com-pared,and the observation group had lower sleep efficiency,sleep disorders,sleep onset time,and number of awakenings,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:For severe pneumonia patients receiving treatment in the ICU,a-dopting the"3S2E"nursing management model intervention has a positive impact on improving patient prognosis.
