Observation of the Clinical Efficacy and Sleep Quality of Compound Snow Medicine Repair Solution in Patients with Paronychia after Nail Removal Surgery in Outpatient Clinics
Objective:To analyze the effects of using compound snow medicine repair solution on postoperative healing and sleep quality of patients undergoing nail removal surgery in outpatient paronychia clinics. Methods:From February 2022 to October 2023,76 patients who underwent nail removal surgery in the outpatient department of the Second People's Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a con-trol group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received auxiliary nursing intervention with compound snow medicine re-pair solution. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the differences in sleep quality between two groups of patients, and to compare the number of nighttime awakenings, average daily sleep time, longest continuous sleep time at night between the two groups of patients. The wound recovery status of the two groups of patients was also compared, including the num-ber of dressing changes, scab thickness, scab time, and scab shedding time. Results:After intervention, the PSQI score of the ob-servation group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The average daily sleep time and longest continuous sleep time at night in the observation group were significantly longer than those of the control group. The number of nighttime awaken-ings in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The number of dressing changes, scab thick-ness,and scab formation time in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group. The differences be-tween the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Assisting the use of compound snow medicine repair solution in the postoperative care of outpatient patients undergoing nail removal surgery can reduce the frequency of dressing chan-ges,scab thickness, and scab formation time, improve the postoperative sleep quality of patients, and is worthy of clinical promo-tion and application.
