Objective:To investigate the effect of CYP2C19 gene polymorphism on the plasma concentration and efficacy of zolpi-dem in the treatment of insomnia after ischemic stroke. Methods:A total of 60 patients with post-ischemic stroke insomnia admit-ted to Dongguan Wanjiang Hospital from October 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. All subjects were treated with zolpidem, the control group was treated with empirical medication, and the observation group was treated with individ-ualized medication according to the results of CYP2C19 gene polymorphism. The blood drug concentration, efficacy, and pre-and post-treatment Sleep Disorder Rating Scale(SDRS)scores between the two groups were compared. Results:There was no signifi-cant difference in blood concentration between the two groups(P>0.05).The SDRS score of the observation group patients after treatment was significantly lower than control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:CYP2C19 gene polymorphism detection has a good value in guiding the individualized medication of zolpidem in the treatment of insomnia after ischemic stroke.
