Objective:To analyze the occurrence status of sleep disorders in adult patients with epilepsy and the correlation with cognitive function and psychological status.Methods:A total of 87 patients with epilepsy in the hospital were selected from Janu-ary 2019 to December 2023 as the research subjects.According to the existence of sleep disorders,they were divided into sleep disorder group(n=40)and no sleep disorder group(n=47).The clinical data of all patients were collected and statistically ana-lyzed.Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to evaluate sleep status.Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)was ap-plied to evaluate cognitive function.The degree of depression was assessed by Beck Depression Inventory-Ⅱ(BDI-Ⅱ),and the anxiety degree was evaluated by Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI).The incidence rate of sleep disorders was counted.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the influencing factors of sleep disorders in adult patients with epilep-sy.Pearson analysis was used to analyze the correlation between PSQI and MMSE,BDI-Ⅱ and BAI.Results:A total of 87 patients were included in this group,and 45.98%(40/87)of patients had sleep disorders.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that BDI-Ⅱ score≥20 points(OR=3.124),BAI score≥ 16 points(OR=3.133)and cognitive dysfunction(OR=5.058)were independent risk factors for sleep disorders in patients with epilepsy(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis revealed that PSQI score was positively correlated with BDI-Ⅱ and BAI(P<0.05),and was negatively correlated with MMSE score(P<0.05).Conclusion:The incidence rate of sleep disorders in adult patients with epilepsy is higher.Cognitive dysfunction,anxiety and de-pression are significantly related to the occurrence of sleep disorders in adult patients with epilepsy,and are independent risk factors.
