Objective:To analyze the effect of continuous intervention of family education and environmental improvement on the sleep quality of children with asthma. Methods:A total of 86 children with asthma admitted to the pediatric emergency department of Xiamen University Affiliated First Hospital from November 2021 to November 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 43 cases in each group, using a random number table method. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received continuity nursing interven-tion through family education and environmental improvement. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the changes in sleep quality between two groups of children before and after intervention. The smart wristband was used to detect the differences in sleep latency, awakening time, and sleep time between the two groups of children before and after interven-tion.The forced vital capacity and peak expiratory flow of the two groups were measured using a pulmonary function meter. Results:After intervention, the sleep latency and awakening time of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group. The actual sleep time of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group. The forced vital capacity and peak expiratory flow of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group. The PSQI score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The continuous intervention of family education and environ-mental improvement is beneficial for improving the sleep quality and lung function of children with asthma, and is worthy of further promotion and application.
