Objective:To explore the effect of progressive muscle relaxation intervention combined with psychological adjustment on sleep quality in patients undergoing radical thyroidectomy.Methods:A total of 83 patients who received radical thyroidectomy in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were included in the study.Patients receiving routine nursing programs were in-cluded in the routine nursing group(41 cases),and patients receiving progressive muscle relaxation intervention combined with psychological adjustment nursing programs were included in the combined nursing group(42 cases).The nursing cycle was 1 week.Sleep quality[Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)],pain degree[Digital Assessment Scale of pain Degree(NRS)],men-tal state[Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)],compliance with neck rehabilitation exer-cise of the two groups were compared before and after intervention.Results:After intervention,PSQI score of combined nursing group was lower than that of conventional nursing group(P<0.05);the VAS score of combined nursing group was lower than that of conventional nursing group(P<0.05).The HAMA and HAMD scores in the combined nursing group were lower than those in the conventional nursing group(P<0.05).The compliance of the combined nursing group was higher than that of the conventional nursing group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Progressive muscle relaxation intervention combined with psychological ad-justment can improve sleep quality,relieve postoperative pain,improve mental state and compliance with neck rehabilitation exer-cise in patients undergoing radical thyroidectomy.
