Objective:To study the application effect of comfortable nursing for patients undergoing appendicitis surgery.Methods:A total of 84 appendicitis patients admitted to the Department of Surgery of Shaowu Hospital of Traditional Chi-nese Medicine from October 2022 to October 2023 were divided into control group(42 cases,routine care)and observation group(42 cases,comfortable care)according to the random number table method to compare the nursing effect of the two groups.Results:Leaving time,exhaust time and hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than the control group(P＜0.05).The visual analog scoring method(Visual Analogue Scale/Score,VAS)at 2 d and 4 d were lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The anxiety self-rating scale(Self-Rating Anxiety Scale SAS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(Pitts-burgh sleep quality index,PSQI)scores were lower than the control group(P＜0.05).The comfort status scale(General Comfort Questionnaire,GCQ)and quality of life scale(the MOS item short from health survey,SF-36)were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The satisfaction rate of the observation group(97.62％)was higher than that of the control group(0.95％)(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Comfortable care for patients undergoing appendicitis surgery can accelerate their recovery speed,alleviate their pain,improve their negative emotions,thereby improving their sleep quality,better meeting their needs,and increasing their satisfaction.It has significant clinical advantages.
