Objective:To analyze the impact of emotional support nursing intervention on the uncertainty of disease and sleep quality in emergency patients.Methods:A total of 120 emergency patients admitted to the Affiliated People's Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 60 cases in each group,using a random number table meth-od.The control group received routine emergency nursing intervention,while the observation group received emotional support nursing intervention in combination with the aforementioned routine emergency nursing.The Zung scale was used to evaluate the differences in psychological status between two groups of patients before and after intervention,including anxiety and depression scales.The MUIS scale was used to evaluate the disease uncertainty of the two groups of patients.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality In-dex(PSQI)was used to compare the differences in sleep quality between the two groups of patients.After nursing intervention,the satisfaction level of the two groups of patients was evaluated using the Emergency Nursing Service Satisfaction Questionnaire.Results:After intervention,the anxiety and depression scores on the Zung scale in the observation group were sig-nificantly lower than those in the control group.The scores on all dimensions of the MUIS and PSQI scales in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group.The satisfaction questionnaire scores on the diagnosis and nursing services in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Emotional support nursing can effectively improve anxiety,depression,and disease uncertainty in emergency patients,and improve their sleep quality,so it is easily recognized by emergency patients.
