Objective:To analyze the effect of operating room position intervention on sleep quality and pressure ulcer incidence in patients with long-term lateral lying position. Methods:A total of 100 patients who were treated in the operating room of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January 2021 to December 2022 and maintained lateral position were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received surgical room position nursing intervention. The Richards Campbell Sleep Scale(RCSQ)was used to evaluate the sleep quality of patients, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the differences in sleep quality between two groups of patients,as well as the incidence of pressure ulcers during the perioperative period is compared. Results:After intervention, the nursing Richards Campbell Sleep Scale(RCSQ)scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the PSQI scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group in all dimensions. The incidence of pressure ulcers 24 hours after surgery in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion:Intervention of operating room position for patients who need to maintain lateral position for a long time during surgery can significantly improve their sleep quality and pre-vent the occurrence of pressure ulcers, which is worth promoting and applying.
