Impact of Continuous Positive Pressure Ventilation Combined with Sequential Rehabilitation Nursing on Sleep Quality in Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome Undergoing
Objective:To analyze the effect of continuous positive pressure ventilation combined with sequential rehabilitation nursing on the sleep quality of patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)undergoing weight loss surgery. Methods:A total of 68 OSAHS patients who underwent weight loss surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen Uni-versity from May 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 34 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received continuous positive pressure ventilation combined with sequential rehabilitation nursing intervention. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the changes in sleep quality before and after intervention between two groups of patients. The Self Efficacy Scale(GSES)was used to compare the changes in self-efficacy,du-ration of nighttime sleep, and number of awakenings between the two groups of patients before and after intervention. Results:After intervention, the PSQI score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the GSES score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group. The observation group had a longer duration of sleep and fewer awakenings than the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Con-clusion:Continuous positive pressure ventilation combined with sequential rehabilitation nursing can effectively improve the self-efficacy,sleep quality, and reduce the number of nighttime awakenings of OSAHS patients after weight loss surgery. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
