Analysis of the Application Effect of Pain Intervention Based on Programmatic Management in Improving Sleep Quality of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Radiotherapy Patients
Objective:To analyze the application effect of pain intervention based on programmatic management in improving the sleep quality of nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy patients. Methods:A total of 96 nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy patients admitted to the First Hospital of Quanzhou City,Fujian Province, from June 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the re-search subjects.Using a random number table method, they were randomly divided into an observation group(n=50)and a con-trol group(n=46).The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received pain nursing in-tervention under procedural management.Visual Analog Scale(VAS)was used to compare the pain perception of two groups of patients before and after intervention. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the changes in sleep quality before and after intervention. The Comprehensive Quality of Life Questionnaire(GQOLI-74)was used to compare the quality of life of the two groups of patients, and the clinical symptom indicators related to radiotherapy were compared between the two groups of patients. Results:After intervention, the NRS score and PSQI score of both groups decreased, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group. The clinical scores of swallowing and chewing difficulties, oral pharyngeal pain, oral pharyngeal mucus, taste abnormalities, and gum problems in both groups decreased, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the social, physical, psychological, and material life scores of the two groups on the GQOLI-74 scale increased, and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing pain nursing interventions under programmatic management in NPC radiotherapy patients can alleviate pain, improve clinical symptoms, and improve sleep and quality of life.
