Objective:To explore the effect of advanced empathy nursing with progressive guided nursing on improving sleep quality in patients with bipolar disorder and hypertension.Methods:A total of 84 patients with bipolar disorder and hypertension admitted to the Department of Psychiatry in Quanzhou Third Hospital of Fujian Province from August 2020 to August 2022 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,and the observation group received advanced empathy nursing with progressive guided nursing.Sleep quality,Young Mania Rating Scale(YMRS)score,cognitive function,mania symptoms,and social function were compared between the two groups.Results:After nursing,the sleep quality,YMRS score,cognitive function,mania symptoms and social function of patients in 2 groups were improved compared with those before nursing(P＜0.05),and the improvement in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Advanced empathic nurs-ing with progressive guided care for patients with bipolar disorder and hypertension can improve the sleep quality,cognitive func-tion and manic symptoms of patients,and is worth promoting.
