Objective:To explore the effects of wechat communication platform and home visit on disease management and sleep of outpatients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.Methods:A total of 80 peritoneal dialysis patients from the renal outpatient Depart-ment of Fuzhou First General Hospital of Fujian Province from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into control group and observation group according to random drawing method,with 40 patients in each group.The control group received routine nursing,and the observation group combined with wechat communication platform and home visit on the basis.Disease management ability and sleep quality were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results:After intervention,the scores of self-responsibility,emotional attitude and technical operation in 2 groups were higher than those before intervention(P＜0.05),and the scores of self-responsibility,emotional attitude and technical opera-tion in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P＜0.05).After intervention,the scores of Pitts-burgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)in 2 groups were lower than those before intervention(P＜0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Wechat communication platform and home visit intervention can im-prove disease management ability and sleep quality of outpatients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.
