Objective:To explore the effects of white noise on sleep quality and negative emotion in ICU patients after mechanical ventilation and off-line extubation. Methods:A total of 160 ICU patients admitted to Quanzhou First Hospital from January to De-cember 2023 after mechanical ventilation and extubation were selected as research objects and divided into control group and ob-servation group according to random number table method, with 80 cases in each group.Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)were used to compare the improvement effects of anxiety and depression between the two groups before and after intervention, and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the changes in sleep quality between the two groups before and after intervention. Results:After intervention,HAMA scores,HAMD scores and PSQI scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:White noise nursing for patients with mechanical ventilation after off-line extubation in ICU can effectively improve the sleep quality of patients, reduce negative emotions, and facilitate the rehabilitation of patients, which is worthy of clinical application.
