Objective:To investigate the impact of sequential sedation and analgesia therapy on sleep disorders in patients with severe pneumonia in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU).Methods:A total of 80 ICU patients with severe pneumonia admitted to Nan-ping Second Hospital from February 2022 to February 2023 were selected as research subjects.Participants were randomly as-signed to either a control group or an observation group, with 40 patients in each. The control group received conventional analgesi-a,while the observation group was treated with sequential sedation and analgesia therapy.Sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),and quality of life was assessed using the Short Form Health Survey(SF-36).Results:Af-ter treatment, the observation group's PSQI scores were significantly lower, and their SF-36 scores were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sequential sedation and analgesia therapy effectively improves sleep disorders in ICU patients with severe pneumonia, significantly enhancing both their sleep quality and overall quality of life.
