Objective:To explore the effect of Plan-do-check-act(PDCA)intervention on the incidence of complications and sleep quality in children with bronchopneumonia. Methods:A total of 102 children with bronchopneumonia admitted to the De-partment of Emergency at Xiamen Children's Hospital in 2023 were selected as research subjects. They were randomly divided in-to a control group(n=51),receiving routine nursing care, and an observation group(n=51),receiving routine care plus PDCA intervention. The incidence of complications, sleep duration, symptom improvement time, and sleep quality were compared between the two groups. Results:After the intervention, the incidence of complications in the observation group(1.96%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(17.65%)(P<0.05).The average daily sleep duration in the observation group was longer, and the symptom improvement time was shorter compared to the control group(P<0.05).The improvement in sleep quality(as measured by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index,PSQI)was also more significant in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclu-sion:The application of PDCA intervention significantly reduces complications, increases sleep duration, shortens symptom im-provement time, and improves sleep quality in children with bronchopneumonia.
