Objective:lo explore the impact of cognitive behavioral nursing based on stress and coping theory on the sleep quality of chemotherapy patients with colorectal cancer.Methods:A total of 88 colorectal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Jianyang First Hospital of Nanping from March 2022 to December 2023 were enrolled in this study.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 44 patients in each group.The control group received routine nursing care dur-ing chemotherapy,while the observation group received cognitive behavioral nursing based on stress and coping theo-ry.Psychological status,sleep quality,and quality of life were assessed in both groups during chemotherapy.Results:Before nurs-ing intervention,there were no significant differences in Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)scores,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scores,and World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)scores between the two groups.After the nursing intervention,the observation group demonstrated significantly higher CD-RISC scores,lower PSQI scores,and higher WHOQOL-BREF scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Cognitive behavioral nursing,guided by stress and coping theory,effectively improves sleep quality,enhances psychological well-being,and elevates the quality of life among chemotherapy patients with colorectal cancer.
