Objective:To investigate the effect of nursing based on the health behavior theory on the sleep quality of diabetes(DM)patients with hypertension(HBP).Methods:A total of 136 patients with hypertension and diabetes from February 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the research subjects. The patients were randomly divided into a control group(n=68)and an ob-servation group(n=68).The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received nursing care guided by health behavior theory, focusing on sleep management. The sleep quality, blood pressure and blood glucose control of the two groups before and after nursing were compared. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in sleep quality be-tween the two groups of patients before nursing(P>0.05),while the observation group had higher sleep quality after nursing(P<0.05).Similarly,in terms of blood glucose and blood pressure control, there was no statistically significant difference be-tween the two groups before nursing(P>0.05),while the observation group had better blood pressure and blood glucose control after nursing(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sleep care guided by the theory of healthy behavior can improve the sleep quality of pa-tients,facilitate physical and mental relaxation, and create favorable physical conditions for stable blood pressure and blood glu-cose control, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
